AFRA Employee of the Year

The Australian Furniture Removals Association AFRA recently held their 2017 conference in Perth of which we attended. Dawson's branch and operations manager Glenn Rogan was awarded the AFRA employee of the year on Saturday evening.

Glen has been with Dawson's for 12 years and is a great leader in our business. He is happy to assist in all aspects of the business and will go above and beyond to make the moving experience a positive one for our clients. On an occasion in January 2017 we received a container of goods from one of our agents. After a full unload and unpack the crew could not locate the bolts to the clients beds. Upon contacting the agent who forwarded the goods it was determined that they had lost the bed bolts. The delivery was in Newcastle but that didn’t deter Glenn from getting in his car at 4pm and making the 3 hour trip. Stopping at Bunnings in Pennant Hills on the way he obtained bed bolts to assemble the client’s beds. The easiest alternative was to have the forwarding agent pay for accommodation but as the client wished to stay in their own home with his three children, Glenn took the gamble on obtaining the right bolts by buying several, driving to Newcastle and rectifying the issue. Glenn made it home at midnight but none the less we had a happy client.

Glenn deserves this award for many reasons and none more so than his loyalty and dedication to Dawson Moving and Storage in NSW.

Congratulations Glenn.
